“Love is in the Air” . . .

17Feb10

Valentine’s Day is a day for lovers . . . and what better day for engaged couples in Colorado to stroll through the VOWS space!  On Sunday, the VOWS wedding collective set up shop to let the wedding vendors display what they do best . . .

As a wedding makeup artist, it was my job to paint some face.  Below are a few photos of our lovely “bridesmaids” for the day . . . Dalia & Shannon from Premier Image Agency.

Dalia had the greatest skin, so I made it glow with lots of light-reflecting primer and a shimmering bronze color palette.  And her brows rock, so you know I was happy!  I just filled them in with some shadow and an angle brush.

Love the yellow & grey bouquet from Sweet Pea Flowers.  Such a chic color combination, especially against our silvery damask wallpaper.

Anyone else think Shannon could win an Angelina Jolie look-a-like contest?  I framed her doe-eye shape with taupes and browns.  Her gorgeous lips didn’t need emphasizing, so they were filled in with my favorite “lip-color-but-better” shade, then topped with pink gloss.

Bre Osa did the hair for the event, and was on-hand to chat with brides about creating a hairstyle for the big day.

Andrew and Jessica are such awesome photographers to work with.  Who else can get shots outside when its close to freezing?  They definitely know how to get the best out of wedding photos.  Thanks to them for shooting our lovely models!
