“Fix Your Face Friday!”

Beautiful skin is vital to beautiful makeup.  As a makeup artist, one of my favorite things to do is focus on the skin: moisturizing it to a dewy radiance, highlighting the cheek bones, brow bones, cupid’s bow with tantalizing shimmer, bronzing it to a sun-kissed gold.

Often my clients have “challenges” with their skin, and ask about ways to help.  Rather than cover blemishes, spots, and uneven tone with loads of makeup, I’d rather recommend a skin care routine.  That way, their skin can improve as much as possible, and they can use makeup to accentuate, instead of hide it.

I’ve worked with and recommended lots of skin care through the years, but there are limits to my knowledge.  When I need expert advice, I turn to my friend Joanna.  So I asked her to be the Fix Your Face Friday guest blogger, and I’m so excited she agreed!

Every Friday, Joanna will solve the skin situation of a client or reader, Q&A style.  Start thinking of your questions, and leave them below as a comment.  Soon, there’ll be more than one reason to T.G.I.F. . .

*Joanna Ingrao is a Licensed Aesthetician and Certified Laser Technician in Scottsdale, AZ, and has been licensed since 2005.  She has been practicing with a cosmetic dermatology office since 2006 and has 8 years experience in the cosmetic and skin care industry.  Her advice is only that, advice, and should not be taken as a diagnosis or a treatment plan.  To get the best skin solution for you, please seek the care of a licensed aesthetician, or certified medical provider in your area.*
